The Art Song Project is for singers dedicated to the enjoyment and appreciation of art songs (poems set to music.) All adult singers who have studied voice and have an interest in performing and listening to solo art songs are invited to participate.
Those who wish to sing will perform their pieces for the group at this meeting.
The group meets twice monthly, September through November and February through April, to sing in an informal atmosphere in the historic Emerson House. A different musical era or theme will be highlighted each month:
September - Baroque
October - Classical
November - Shakespeare texts
February - Romantic
March - Women composers
April - Modern/contemporary
Season registration fee is $40.
Art Song Project members have the option of joining the Mendelssohn Music Network for free.
