After the highly successful grand opening of their Aviation Resource Center last month, EAA 1414 will be hosting another fly-in/Drive-in pancake breakfast on July 14, 2013. EAA 1414 is a non-profit organization whose mission is to further the education of all aviators to be better pilots and builders. In addition, EAA 1414 works to reach out to the non-aviation community to introduce them to the excitement that is aviation.
The EAA 1414 Aviation Resource Center is located at 5151 Orth Road in Poplar Grove and is on the North side of the Poplar Grove Airport. Breakfast will be served from 7:00am until 12:00pm with the cost for a meal at $7.00 for adults and $3.00 for children 6 –12. The menu includes our famous scrambled eggs (using real eggs), mouth watering pancakes, very tasty sausage, and nutritious fruit cups. Coffee and orange juice will also be provided as well as wonderful conversation with friends.
EAA 1414 will also be conducting a Young Eagle Rally from 9:00am until 12:00am. Free Introductory airplane flights will be offered to youth ages 8 – 17. The Young Eagles program has been developed by the EAA Aviation Foundation to welcome young people into the world of aviation. Aviation is exciting and vital to our nation's future. Through this program children are offered a safe and enjoyable flight that gives them new perspectives on the world and life in general. Participation in the Young Eagles program will help them understand that an individual's potential is unlimited. Local pilots will be donating their time, airplanes and fuel during this event
