The Agatha Christie jigsaw at its best, worked out like a diabolically ingenious game of Clue. Valiant hero, Brainy heroine, Kind-hearted Lord of the Manor, Apple-cheeked old lady, Sinister shopkeeper, Busty Barmaid, Smug Doctor, Grieving Widow, etc. The village of Wychwood has gossip and twinkly old maids, but there’s also the sinister tinct of black magic hanging over the villagers. Something evil is afoot. Serial killings. Gay Satanists. Sinister villagers. And a cat called Wonkey Pooh. Our annual mystery is a jolly good time.
