The Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center presents its next Music on Main concert, "Artistry by Twos and Threes: Music for Viola, Violin and Flute." 5:30 - 6:30 pm at the historic Emerson House, 420 North Main Street in Rockford. This performance will feature Carol Yampolsky, violin; Henrietta Neeley, viola; and Scott Metlicka, flute. All three musicians have also performed in various professional ensembles throughout the Midwest, including symphonies in Rockford, Elgin, Elmhurst, Green Bay and Madison, as well as with various chamber groups such as the award-winning Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra. Relax and unwind at Music on Main, the Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center's series of brief and intimate after-work concerts, held at the historic Emerson House in the heart of downtown Rockford. Experience beautiful music, mingle with the artists, enjoy complimentary wine and cheese, and relax with your friends. Make Music On Main an after-work tradition! Performances take place on the second Monday of the month, September through November and February through May. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. Seating is limited, so arrive early! Suggested donation is $10 at the door. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Shelter Care Ministries. This program is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency. All programs, performers and prices subject to change.
