Join us for the world premiere of "Songs of the World," a new choral/orchestral song cycle by British Academy Award-winning composer Donald Fraser! Based on folk music from different countries, this piece is a musical journey through life by way of song! Performed by the award-winning Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra, soprano Jonita Lattimore, baritone Robert Sims, and a massed choir of singers from the Mendelssohn Chorale, Rock Valley Children’s Choir, and Belvidere High School Choir. Presented by the Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center.
To be held at Court Street United Methodist Church, 215 N. Court St., Rockford.
