ST. PETER CATHOLIC SCHOOL TO HOST SOCK HOP DANCE NOVEMBER 9 SOUTH BELOIT, IL, – Dust off your poodle skirts and saddle shoes and join St. Peter’s Catholic School in South Beloit for an old fashioned Sock Hop Dance! This family friendly event will take you back in time as you dance to the music of a DJ…and don’t be surprised if you see Elvis in the building! On Friday, November 9 from 6-10 pm you can relive the nostalgia of the 50’s and 60’s at St. Peter’s Parish Didier Hall located at the corner of Oak Grove Ave. and Doner Drive (the southwest corner of the St. Peter's Parish Campus) in South Beloit, Illinois. Refreshments will be available for purchase and a 50/50 raffle and silent auction are planned for the evening. Whether you are a “greaser” or wear a letterman’s sweater, prizes will be awarded for the best “decked out” costumes, dance, and trivia contests, so come out and “cut-a-rug Daddy-o!” Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. Children under 3 are free. All proceeds will benefit St. Peter’s Catholic School. Don’t miss out on this “cool” event – it is sure to be a “gas”! For more information or to order your tickets, contact Principal Ed O’Brien at 779-475-0560. “Be there…or be square!” About St. Peter Catholic School St. Peter Catholic School offers a Christian-based education to children grades Pre-kindergarten through 8th Grade.
