Ever pick up a rock & wonder what kind it was? Well, here's your chance to find out! The show theme is Michigan Mining. You'll see a model train detailing the mining process. There's geode cracking, amazing displays, silent auctions, jewelry, specimen table, rocks, crystals, gems, minerals. Lots of fun activities for the kids! The mineral mine, Petoskey Stone polishing hourly door prizes, & a grand prize drawing. Dealers, & Demonstrators in Wire Wrapping, Faceting, Lapidary, Slate Carving, Silversmiths, Making a Cabochon. Proceeds go to scholarships for Western Michigan University Geology students. As a 501c3 non-profit organization, admission for Adults is a $3 donation & kids under 12 are free with a paying adult. Also, Boy & Girl Scouts, Campfire Girls, Bluebirds, etc. get in free if in uniform, with Troops of 5 or more & a paying adult. May 4th 5th & 6th 2012 The show is open to the public on Fri 4-8 pm, Sat 10-6 pm, Sun 10-5 pm. This is a yearly event that takes place the weekend BEFORE Mother's Day. Hotels & Restaurants nearby.
